Terms of Service
Last updated [date]
These terms cover your use of BYTE ("we", "us"), operated by [legal entity name]. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to them.
What BYTE does
BYTE lets you pay for food delivery orders with digital assets (SOL or USDC). After your payment is confirmed on the Solana blockchain, we place the order for you with a third-party delivery service, such as Uber Eats, and share its tracking link. BYTE is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Uber Technologies, Inc. or any other delivery platform. Menus, prices, availability and delivery are provided by those platforms and restaurants, not by us.
Your account and wallet
- You sign in with email, Google or Apple. A Solana wallet is created for your account by our wallet provider, Privy.
- You control your wallet and can export its private key. We cannot access, move or recover your funds or key.
- You are responsible for keeping your login and any exported key safe.
Orders and payments
- You pay the order total shown before you confirm, which includes our service fee. Blockchain payments are final once confirmed.
- Orders are capped at the amount shown in the app. We may refuse or cancel any order.
- If we can't place your order, we refund the amount you paid to the wallet it came from, minus network fees.
- Item substitutions, delays and quality issues are handled under the delivery platform's and restaurant's policies. Contact us and we'll help where we can.
Acceptable use
Don't use BYTE for anything illegal, to order restricted items, with funds you don't own, or to abuse or overload the service.
Digital assets
The value of SOL and other digital assets changes. Prices quoted in SOL are locked for a short time only. Nothing in BYTE is investment advice, and using BYTE does not give you any ownership, profit share or rights in any token.
Liability
BYTE is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order involved.
